Do Your Research
Before you make any decisions, do your research. Learn as much as you can about cavoodles and their general characteristics and usual pricing. Be prepared with questions when speaking to breeders and be sure to ask for proof of their qualifications and any registration documents that the breeder may have. Also take some time to read online reviews from past customers who have purchased from the same breeder—this will give you an insight into how trustworthy they really are. An especially great resource is "Google Reviews" here you can see genuine reviews left by people who have purchases puppies in the past.
Visit The Breeder In Person Where Possible or Use FaceTime
If possible, visit the breeder in person and check out the puppies yourself before making any decisions. This will give you an opportunity to see where the puppies were bred and raised, so you can make sure they are being kept in a safe and healthy environment. Be aware of any red flags – if the breeder doesn’t want you visiting or won’t let you interact with the puppies, chances are they aren't running an ethical business, or the puppies do not exist in the first place.
Get Everything In Writing
Once you've found your perfect pup, be sure to get all relevant information about them in writing from the breeder. This includes things like vaccination records and registration papers (if applicable). Make sure everything is clearly stated in writing so there is no confusion down the line if something goes wrong with your new pup's health or behavior.
